Tonight I am going to a class to become a League Certified Instructor. As an LCI I will be able to teach fellow cyclists how to be safer on the road. The class is free for me which makes it very easy to attend. It is paid for by the Salt Lake Bike Collective from funds given as a grant from UDOT for a statewide bicycle saftey education program. I am not to impressed with everything the League does, and some of the stuff in the Effective Cycling program by Forester are just plain crazy, but that is the way things go sometimes. It will be a long weekend, but at least I get to ride and learn how to help others be safe. I could spend my time in worse ways.
